Q. |
How much does it cost to
be the member and how long does it last, and is there any discount available? |
A. |
Shirankai is the alumni organization of Kyoto
University medical school graduates hence the main members are those graduates. Originally
Shirankai was established for close communication between members. As for companies
the club would like to welcome bodies as special members to provide better communication
base. If this policy is understood, the club offers membership for 2000,000 yen
per term. There is a discount schema available for minor companies and details
can be found on member regulation. |
Q. |
What is the definition
of a minor company? |
A. |
It is explained in our member
regulation. Please contact us for details. |
Q. |
Do I have to be a member
to contact school staff? |
A. |
No. Individual contact to
school staff is fine. However SSBLO could introduce adequate person when it is
unclear who is the right person for your project or researches, also SSBLO could
provide professional advise to members on contracting so we recommend to use
our club as we believe it is better for the relationship between individual and
company bodies. |
Q. |
How does licensing activity
work and how does the benefit return to inventor? |
A. |
Technology transfer will
be carried out based on the contract between Shirankai and Kyoto University.
When the licensing is successfully done the licensing fee will be paid to Kyoto
University from the company. Expenses of Shirankai and Kyoto University for the
licensing will be taken out and the remainder of fee will then be divided by
university department and inventor based on Kyoto University innovation regulations. |
