Shirankai is established to contribute to national medical development through
many activities related to medical field, knowledge and medical students. Shirankai
offers scholarship and student support for higher education as well as organizing
international exchange program and academic communications and many other activities.
Activities of Shirankai are various
and through wide range as long as they are related to medical field and medical
students, there are many programs on going worldwide. Specifically, Shiranakai
provides financial support for medical researches, scholarship for medical students,
international communications in medical field such as hosting seminars and publishing
journals. In addition “SSBLO (Shirankai Science and Business Liaison Office)”
was established in order to provide professional support to promote Business-Academia
collaboration related activities.
Shirankaikan Annex is placed in between “Yoshida”
mountain and the most famous river of Kyoto called “Kamo-gawa”. The history of
Kyoto University is represented within this building as it has traditionally
been used as communication space to provide accommodation, seminar room and many
social events.
