Rule and Regulation’s of the club

(Section 1, Establishment)
Those rules and regulations are for registered members of the Shirankai Science & Business Liaison Office Club (SSBLOC) which is managed by Shirankai Science & Business Liaison Office of Shirankai Corporation. Shirankai Corporation is the alumni organization of Kyoto University medical school graduates.
(Section 2, Purpose)
The purpose of those rules & regulation is to contribute research outcomes to society and to realize further development of university's academic studies through providing modern information about researches, intellectual properties and knowledge transfer as well as business seeds from university and smooth communication between members based on the contract between Kyoto Universtiy and Shirankai Corporation.

(Section 3, Management)
"Club" is organized and managed by SSBLO to promote Business-Academia association activities together with KUMBL.

(Section 4, Registered members)
Registered member is defined as a person who is recognized by corporation body according to memorandum section 6 and this person is called proper member.
A person or a company who assents to the purpose and policy defined in memorandum of Shirankai Corporation body and SSBLO can be enrolled to the club through application procedure. This member is called special member.

(Section 5, Privilege of members)
Member privileges about technical information related to medical field are as followings.

(1)	up to date information about ongoing research process and clinical test conducted by medical researchers or doctors including unreleased information.
(2)	Recent applied patents information mediated by the club including unreleased information.
(3)	Suggestion and agency for joint research on medical development and medical equipment including unreleased reserches.
(4)	Research material transfer excluding human genes.
(5)	Consultancy and agency for technology transfer and knowledge transfer.
(6)	Information exchange on medical problems such as side effect and environmental concerns as well as bioethical issues which are concerned by society. Opinion exchange on how to deal with social demands.
(7)	Agency for human resources as well as laboratory.
(8)	Information related to Business-Academia corporation.

Registered members can request professional support on own research project to members directly or indirectly.

(Section 6, Journal)
Activities and related information, notes and articles of the club are published in journal of which will be presented to members.

(Section 7, Fees for special members)
One term is defined as from 1st of April to 31st of March.

For the purpose of product manufacture or similar applying the informationprovided by the club….2,000,000 yen

For minor companies…..1,000,000 yen

For the purpose of providing information to customers such as financial service, sink tank or local council task…2,000,000 yen

(Section 8, Registration)
To be a special member application form has to be filled up and sent. The corporation body then recognizes a member.

(Section 9, Payment)
Full price must be paid in at once after registration, or receiving the bill for continuation to next term.

Refund is NOT available in any circumstances.

(Section 10, Dismissal)
If a special member wished to be dismissed from the club a member has to fill in and send the dismissal note one month in advance before the day of requested dismissal date.

The club can cancel the registration of members if any of the following condition is applied.

(1)	False information is found in application form or any document presented.
(2)	Obstruction is made to the club
(3)	Falsification is made to information provided by the club or club members.
(4)	Damaging reputation of the club or club members.
(5)	Falling behind on payment of membership fee
(6)	Bankruptcy or liquidation is recognized.
(7)	Bleaching of confidential agreement.
(8)	Defamation is recognized by Corporation body.

(Section 11, Modification)
Special members have duty to report to the club if any change is made on presented information.

(Section 12, Confidentiality)
It is forbidden to release any confidential information provided by the club to the third person or party without permission.

(Section 13, Compensation)
If section 12 is bleached, that member is responsible for any loss made to the club, corporation body or other members.

(Section 14, Counsel)
Board members are selected from special members to join the club counsel to take part in management.

(Section 15, Revision)
The corporation body has duty to report to registered members two month in advance if any change is attempted to those rules and regulations.
